Attendance. Board members serve a two-year term and attend monthly board meetings. Most meetings are held in the Davis, Salt Lake or Utah County area. Meetings usually last two hours.
Membership. Board members must be a current member of RCU. (Cost: $100 to $200 annually depending on your organizational status.)
Committee Service. Board members are strongly encouraged to serve on at least one committee or lead one special project.
Fundraising. Board members are encouraged to help recruit new members each year and to otherwise assist in finding adequate resources for the organization.
Direction of Organization. Board members are responsible for overseeing the work of the Executive Director to ensure RCU meets contractual obligations, remains fiscally sound, and pursues programs that further RCU's mission.
Expectations of RCU for the Board of Directors
RCU will provide a board manual with by-laws, an annual report, the most recent annual financial statements, and a list of other board members.
RCU will send out board packets about one week before each board meeting.
RCU will provide general liability insurance coverage for its board members.
